Hello, does anyone know what ins. company will ins. a 1993 corvette cheap. Hagerty has to be pre 1986 Grundy worldwde said yes over the phone yes and gave a quote of $147. I fill the application and it came back stating that they will not ins. any corvette built after 1974. Thanks for your help.

Thats funny i have my 1994 ZR-1 insured with Hagertys. Must be your age.

Most "classic car insureres" wont insure newer cars. Most have to be at least 20 years old to qualify for this ins. or be a true classic. Most states will not allow a car under twenty years to be labeled or insured as a classic. My regular ins. on my 91 vet vert is only about 600 bucks a year and I get it for less than that because I only drive it about 5 months a year. Met life is who I insure it with. I have Grundy on my 51 MGTD and that runs about 150 a year with a stated value of about 18 thousand.

Full coverage on my 94 runs me $190/6 months. but then again I am over 50 and have a good driving record, have three cars and my house with them.:D

Hagerty will insure your '93, I'm sure of that. It may not be as cheap as you would like, but you will be covered. There are a lot of factors that are taken into account: like, is it a daily driver, where you live, driving record, age, etc. May also depend on how you use it, for clubs, weekend use. if you want a daily driver, it will cost more, but check again with Hagerty.

My '96 vette is insured through State Farm. I pay about 300/6 months.

Have my 90 vert with State Farm. Have everything with them. Full coverage is about $40 a month including towing coverage. I have no limits on my mileage, just not driven to work.

I have full coverage State Farm (1000 deductable) on my 1995 and pay 310 every 6 months.

I have my 93 with Hagerty under thier exotic collector ins, Its covered for 18K, think its about 380 a year. I am 34.

THATS just plain odd!
Grundy quoted me a decent price from internet on our 1984 and we're 38- 40years old. However I was scared off by one additional rider they included. Quick summary: It said that the car was for recreational use only (and it would be) but it also was worded that it was not to be used as even secondary back up transportation, and not driven to school or work. It was too vague and seemed to imply that if I or my wife did drive it to work one day, or school (unclear whether it was dropping the kid off or if I went back for my doctorate) and it was damaged they would try to weasel out of the coverage. :ohnoes It just seemed too shady.....I'm still shopping around myself.

Thanks 1993 aqua vette

Thanks' I finally insured the car with Hagerty for $190 full coverage for the year. Don't know what happened when I filled out the online form it came back NG. Called and spoke to an agent and walla I'm insured. Thanks to all for the helpful comments. Renato

Thanks for the Haggerty recommendation.:thumb I also really like their website. You can easily change limits and recalculate. In PA we have a limited tort option for cheaper rates. Haggerty is still a fraction of the best rate I could get from Liberty Mutual with whom I have my house and 3 cars. Haggerty is full tort with MUCH better coverage! Of course Its also REPLACEMENT to agreed value verses Blue Book!
Haggerty even makes a point of the occasional pleasure use being not JUST to shows/events. Looks like they are the way to go :upthumbs
