I recently had an accident in my 1995 Corvette. The body shop got a used hood that the specs said would fit a 1994 or 1995. They said that the replacement hood would not shut all the way. As it turns out, the original hood has a cutout over the alternator and the replacement hood did not. They cannot find out why there are two different Corvette-original hoods. Does anyone know why there are two different hoods for the 1994-1995 Corvette that are identical on the top, but one has a cutout over the alternator?
