Look at the rubber hood seal, notice how it goes from black to grey? That's a good indication of how much shiny gunk they sprayed all over the engine bay. Why do people do that? I'd hate to have to clean that stuff off, and I'd hate to smell it when the engine gets hot...

Yes, it's hard to imagine Goodyear gave him a new set of Michelin Pilot Sports...lt4man said:I do not think Goodyear gave him a new set of tires. I would like to see the documentation.
Couldn't it be a base-suspension car also?lt4man said:The suspension is the Z51 Performance Handling Suspension. Notice there is no F45 RTD switch on the console. There were only these two suspensions available an any Grand Sport Coupe.

Is this wrong then?lt4man said:No.
The Grand Sport Coupes had either the Z51 Performance Handling suspension or the F45 Real Time Damping suspension.

According to it, 237 coupes had the FE1 suspension. I'm not a GS or LT4 expert, but I do read up on 'vettes. It would be news to me that the GS option required the buyer to also pick a suspension option. But that doesn't mean it's not true, a lot of stuff is news to me.![]()
