I was wondering how much a 1997 crovette would be worth?

It is a 1997
4,000 miles
color sliver

Other factors, such as coupe/convertible (and in this case, because it's a 1997, it is a coupe), automatic/6-speed/options, etc., are needed for an educated guess can be made. Are you selling or thinking of buying?

And welcome to the Corvette Action Center! :)

one of the best places to look for car values IMHO is Ebay 97 vettes up for bid now.

BTW I bought mine there in 2004 for just under $20,000

neither, I was just trying to figure how much it would be worth right now.

The roof of the Crovette is the body color of the car/ it is a automatic/ AM\FM Radio Cassette, front, passenger airbags.

my dad actually owns the crovette, and wanted to see how many crovettes were made in 1997. That is when I came accross this website.

the 97 was acutally a small production run by modern standards 9752

the link I provided (in blue) will take you to all the 97's currently on Ebay they are running from $10,800 to 18,000

Worth??????????

Your 97 at a dealer only auction will bring $15,000, but will sell for at least $20,000.

The reason for the low dollar amount is because it falls into line with other 97's with mileages up to 25,000 miles.

Vettes with over 30,000 miles are not keepers if the owner tends to drive them which they were made to do and not become garage queens. The average is 15,000 miles for reg cars but vettes that want to maintain a high resale value should not be driven more then 5,000 miles a year.

Now if it was on a lot for vettes only it could bring more.

If the mileage is correct and the condition matches the mileage it can only go up in value, but you would have to wait a while.

This is not a vette to sell but to hold onto.

Alan

Sorry, but E-bay is not a place to set values because most of the cars there are cars that have been passed over by local buyers and have issues. Or they are dealers.
Each vette is like a snowflake none of them are the same except in name only.

BOY do I disagree with this...."ebay is for vettes that have been passed over and have issues"....you obviously are not familiar with the potential of ebay!!!

I'm with you on this one, I bought mine on Ebay and and it has been the most trouble free car I have ever owned 68,000 miles when I bought it and @92,000 now!

Exactly what l was saying !!!!!!!!!!

If you have a low mileage vette in minto condition you don't need E-bay, but if you live in an area not suited for vettes then e-bay is your venue.

You can find a trouble free vette on E-bay, but it wouldn't be my prime place
to look.

If you feel your getting a bargin on E-bay great.

Awesome color too! That's liable to drive the price up right there!;)

With all due respect, I think you're both correct. Ebay provides great exposure for those rare or unique cars that otherwise wouldn't have visibility to a national audience except at a place like the Barrett Jackson auction here last week.

On the other hand, the 'value priced" stuff seems to move reasonably well especially for people that are strictly price shoppers. I've done 50+ transactions on E-Bay including a 74 Vette and waste way too many evenings window shopping other makes, models and parts on-line.

It's definitely a "buyer beware" environment, but you can certainly find just about anything you're looking for!

The Real Price !!

I left this out of my last thread but the plus side of E-bay is that you see the real selling price when sold.

It is not uncommon for a person to inflate his buying or selling prices for his or her ego.

When a person asks me what l paid or sold a car for l never answer them because no matter what you were paid or had to pay they always have a comment that they did better.

The only time l will tell somebody is if they are looking or selling around the same time that l struck my deal. And if l picked it up on Auction l would just add a few thousand.

Oh man - I couldn't agree more - Remo:cool

A family friend of mine just bought a Silver 97 Auto, Black interior, all options except performance axle, and 54,000 miles for $17,500.
