2000 C5 24000 Miles, Getting "Check Engine" Light. When I check codes through DIC System I find...."10-PCM P0410 H C" When checking codes list the code is"Air System" ?? Any one know What to make of it? Oh, when I clear that code Light goes out???

Hi there,
This shows you that your air injection pump is NOT working correctly.
I would first check your fuses in the under hood electrical center.
They may be blown, due to the motor shorting out.
Check that first, and please keep us posted, c4c5:hb

2000 C5 "Check Engine Light

Checked fuse and found fuse to be OK. Have noticed that the light comes on after approx. 30 min. driving. I am wondering if the air filter needs replacement? almost 30,000 miles on car? About a week ago I removed air filter to check it and after that I noticed that I got the "Check Engine Light." Also I the only way to clear light once on is to reset through DIC system?

Thanks VetteDaddy

HI there,
Well, you would have to inspect the air filter.
As for you problem, then you most likely will have to replace the air injection pump, located by the left front fender well.

Changed air filter, Went 100 miles or so, No problem? Right, Light back on now. Must be that air pump? will have checked ASAP. Will advise as to what corrects the problem. This is a big reason that I chose to purchase an extended Warrenty..

Later...
