2002 Corvette

yeah your probably right about that.....if i didn't have school, work, and kids to take care of first and if i owned a vette then i would want to go out and drive mine to...but where i live there isn't anywhere to just go and have a nice cruise in a vette....

There is not a difference in the 05 and 06 except the little GM badge and 06's with XM radio don't have the external antenna. The bodies are EXACTLY the same.

I'm assuming that you live in LV, Nevada,,, Have you contacted the local Vette Club? http://www.vegasvettes.com/ Wandering thru their website, looks like they have some great places to drive.
When you finally do get your Vette, something to keep in mind, especially if you are on a tight budget, and, generally speaking, the older the car, the more maintenance you have to pull (and pay for). I drive an 89 (C4) with about 106000 miles on it now. Still a blast to drive but it is starting to cost a bit to keep everything in the condition I want it to be in.

And, Welcome to the CAC:w

You could make it from LV to Mesquite in about, oh, half an hour...if there wasn't so much dang traffic lately!
:lou

Or you could come up to our neck of the woods. Nothing like a nice 50-mi. round trip up winding Mt. Rose Highway to Lake Tahoe and back. :cool

I have owned a C3 (75 convertible) and have just sold my C4 (90 Convertible). I am now looking for a C5 to buy. I will get the newest one I can afford (I have my eye on a 2004) & it will be a convertible also.

The 75 convertible was always a favorite of crowds during parades and just driving around, but no where near as comfortable or as powerful as the 90. however, I fixed everything that ever needed done on the 75 and only about half of the repairs on the 90. I ecpect that I will be paying for most of the repairs on the C5.

Which is my favorite?? The 75 was more fun to drive because you had to really drive it (even though it was slower than S***, most Civics could probably outrun it).

I have plans to get another C3 in the next few years, likely a later model coupe that I can highly modify. But I would like to own one of each--alas, I will have to wait until I win the lottery.

BTW, I wish I had a Corvette the last time I was in Las Vegas, a drive out to Red Rock with the top down would be really cool.:cool

yeah there are some places around here to take a drive but not during the middle of the summer with being so hot....oh by the way thats cool that your from colorado springs...that's where my mom was born....

Please allow me to put my $2,000 in. (I'm allowing for inflation!)

Whatever series Corvette you buy will still be the BEST car from that year.
And from what I know of my experiences, the hotter it gets, the better that Corvette will perform. I wanted a C3, and ended up buying a C5. Go figure

As far as comfort. this is the most comfortable vehicle I have EVER owned.
Trust me on this. I also drive a 2002 Tahoe, which is a land barge. My 2004 coupe is at LEAST 3X more comfortable on long trips. And I know long trips.

And as far as the A/C goes - super! Mine is Black on Black and I'm always cool. My fellow CAC supporters will back me up on that, I'm sure.:L

And re: 6 Shooter. Salt of the earth, but highly misunderstood. We are brothers under the skin...

IMHO - "Cut (copy) and paste has come to mind," especially as the same request has been made in each thread. Some cut, copy, and paste in this day and age I would expect to be the norm, but from the way the questions are asked it makes me wonder if you are writting the paper or depending on forum members to post comments and then you just use them. More than enough other information has been posted for you to be able to complete a worthwhile paper on your own merits.

Read this anyway you wish, enough links have also been listed here in either this thread or the '1972 vs. 2002' to obtain about all the information needed it would seem for a class paper.

"please tell me everything about the engine performance of the '72?"

"please tell me everything about the engine performance of the '02?"

Anyway it goes, good luck on the paper!

thanks...the only thing that's going to be hard on this paper is that it has to be 8-10 papges long....so that's why i am just asking a lot because i just want to make sure i have enough information to fill up 10 pages worth....and i just wanted to say thank you to all of you who have helped me...
