Good luck with your sale. I'm envious of your new car as well.

Museum Delivery Means?

I've wanted a 50th Anniversary car a long time.

I don't see where you state coupe or convertible(?)

Does it have the magnesium wheels?

Thanks :thumb

Museum Delivery 11-15-2002, original owner, all original receipts, sticker & build sheet, never involved in an accident, always garaged overnight, auto tranny, 3.15 rear end, ZO6 airbox. Extra set of new floor mats, still in the box.

I seemingly have every car magazine that profiled the 50th Anniversary Edition Corvette at the time as well as many other "goodies" made to commerate the 50 Anniversary Edition corvette will go with the car.

Runs great & a pleasure to drive.

36,600 miles
$28,000

Why?
Just ordered a 427, also a Museum Delivery.

I can help with a couple of your questions: VERT is an abbreviation for convertible and Museum Delivery means Allan ordered RPO R8C which allows the owner to take delivery at the Corvette Museum, with a certain amount of fanfare and celebration. I'm not sure of the particulars but Allan can fill in the gaps for you.

While you're waiting for a response to your question about the rims, check out the 2003 Model Research Center in our Tech Center for a wealth of info about your favorite Corvette: Corvette Action Center | Model Center | C5 | 2003 | 2003 Corvette Center

. . . by the way . . . :welcome

... Does it have the magnesium wheels?

Unless the current owner replaced them with magnesium rims, all of the 50th Anniversary cars came with the standard rims painted in a champagne-like color. The color makes them look a bit like the magnesium rims, but they're not magnesium rims. I doubt the option (magnesium rims) was even available with the 50th Anniversary package...

Now, that's not stopping you from retrofitting the magnesium rims to a 50th Anniversary car, if you want; you've just got to find yourself a set and put them on... And they'd probably look good on the car too! :thumb

I sold this car on a dealer trade and am extremely negligent in not removing the ad.

I sincerely apologize and will remove it immediately.

However, to answer your questions, it was a convertible w/the 50th wheels. I think the color was called "champaign."

The car was in central Ohio (Columbus area) and I found out it was sold to a dealer in Maryland.

Good luck w/your search for a 50th Anniversary Editiion Corvette.

You might try the 50th Registry website.

I'd love to have 50th anniversary also! I think they're the best looking of the C5's but that's just my personal opinion. Alas my bank account does not want another corvette.... :ugh..... but then there's always the lottery & a man can dream! :happyanim:
