Hi To All,
Just an interesting observation. I went to the BG website twice last week. The first time I thought I saw the last build date in mid May. I blew past it because I did not need to be there. The second time I went (o 6/7/03), I saw the samw thing. The last VIN was (I believe) 31675. I'm thinking: wow, what a limited production car. I am not doing a "stan", but I find it interesting that the 2003 Corvette production is ending about 2-4 weeks earlier then "usual". I am guessing that "usual" production ends in June as to get the last ones on the production line out with enough time to retool for the next production line. What is funny is that in2002 I rear ads in my local paper from a high volume Chevy dealer about deals on 2002 Corvettes. These ads weere in the paper rather regulary. For the MY 2003 I have only 2 ads. I believe anyone who says the 2003 are all sold. Please let me know how off base I may be, or how close to the truth I may be. As a final note: my 2003 is "as advertised", it is a riot to drive and drive it when I can.

I was at the BG Assembly Plant on 13 Jun 03 to accept my BL/Blk Vette, VIN #32,000 + The line was still pumping out new vettes at a steady rate, i was told until the 23rd when they would shut down to retool for the 2004. I also saw some of the retool equip for the C-6. I think that you are right, this was a very small production year, and that's good for us folks that bought 2003's. :beer

The GM website has production figures for the BG plant through June. It shows 35,469 MY 2003 Vettes produced and 620 MY 2004 Vettes. They did a rolling change over to the 2004 the week before the big 50th party.

2003 was not a low production year - it anything, it was slightly above average. Of those 35,469 03 Vettes, 11,632 were Anniversary Editions. That's a lot of anniversary red paint!
