A few days ago I spent a few mins at the dealer where i bought my 05 c6 to talk about the cars. Looks like there's a horsepower war going on and Chevy insists on winning. I was told that future (very near future) z06's will have factory blowers bringing the hp to 0ver 600. OMG! If thats true porsche will have its work cut out for it. Then again from the Z06's with blown engines, blown rears and wrecked due to a (eh hem loss of control) i've seen in the dealers shop so may chevy. Anyone else hear what i have???

Congrats on your new Corvette . . .

600 HP would be great, but seeing is believing!

BTW - I see this is your 1dt post - Welcome to the :CAC

Do ya have your C6 yet or is it on order?

Later . . . . . .

I have had mine since 12/04 --about 11k on it--my daily driver--I'm 55 almost 56 and have worked in the auto biz as a kid and torn cars apart and rebuilt them. Alfa's saab's AMX's etc etc. This is my first vette--and as i told my brother--an avid Ferrari fan--this American car is dif--very dif- hye agreed after we cracked 140 and she was still pulling like a racehorse--had to shut it down as we ran out of open road. lol I was 17 in 1967 and a big block 427 stole my heart--of course i couldn't afford it. This car makes up for the sacrifice. 400 kickers is great but I'm a torque fan and this has more than anyone can reasonably use. Of course gearheads aren't really reasonable now are they. Ayway ty for the response- iwould like to drive a new z06 but maybe too much car-

The rumors of a 600 HP Vette are probably for the Blue Devil rather than the Z06.

I'd bet that Chevy is planning a three tiered Corvette line from the base car (Coupe and Vert) to the Z06 and then to the Corvette supercar. $50K to $75K to $100K or beyond. ;)

dunno if the Blue Devil rumor car will be avail that soon--I was told the modification will be on this one but who knows--read a thread on another site where someone with a cam and headers modification on an new z06 shattered 600 hp with torque never going below 400--posted the dyno to prove it--now get this--he says its his daily driver-lololol dam

I was fortunate enough to put a little over 1,000 miles on a new Z06 at CAC's 2nd CruiseFest last year in Bowling Green.

C6 Z06's are Awesome! :upthumbs

First an LT4, then a Y2K C5, and then 1k miles on a C6 Z06! You are one lucky guy, 6 Shooter. :BOW

I havent even had the opprotunity to sit in a 'Vette since I sold my GS, much less put 1k miles on a Z06!

What kind of extended warrenty would be offered with such a beast. I bet the insurance companies will have fun with it, and let's not mention the gas mileage when driving under 80 in 6th gear is not enough! :D
