Just got a new 2013 427 with the LS7 and 6 speed manual transmission. I have noticed that when driving down the road and in any gear, if you take it out of gear and coast to a stop light, or just coasting, the rpm will drop down to normal idle 650 rpm, then go up to 1000 rpm and then back down to 650 rpm. It happens very quickly, but is very noticeable.
Anyone else noticed this? Is this normal?
Thanks.

My instincts tell me that is likely normal since you haven't mentioned a SES message or any other indicators that would suggest your car isn't operating as it should.

However, we have some really smart folks on this site who know these cars inside and out. :beer

Perhaps c4c5specialist will see this and respond. He's a very talented- and helpful- resource when it comes to how Vettes work. If he doesn't reply- feel free to send him a message.

Oh- and then there is Hib Halverson. He has a C6 Z06 himself. Same goes for Hib.

Hope that helps! Good luck with your question!:thumb

Mine does the same. Suspect it relates to the rev match feature in the computer. Not an expert, justs sounds logical. Enjoy your's as I do mine.
