31K 79 Vette on EBay

Yup, I'm sure the "doctor's wife" drove a 4-speed, added the sidepipes, aftermarket cowl hood, high-rise and Holley, and threw away all the missing stuff under the hood :eyerole. Duhh....

..... and the doctor's wife drove the T- Roadster in one of the pictures when she wasn't driving the Corvette. The electrical harness covers matched her shoes. Why is it worth knowing that the driver was a doctor's wife?

Good one!!!

I think there is another "1" in front of the mileage too....

It's not you dude....:eyerole

So, I sent an email to americanclassicsinc (the Seller). I stated that I was surprise with the "Buy it Now" Price and that it was so high for an un-original Vette. Their response: "Really? You think I should raise it?" I'm wondering if I should reply???

Maybe the “Buy it Now” price includes Free Insured Shipping?
You have to remember this car is a highly optioned factory 1979 Corvette with P/S P/B P/W P/L T/T A/C full Instrumentation AM/FM radio W/Cassette and a heater!
I like his reply back to you! what a Gomer.

people buy so much stuff on EBay...

Buying a car on Ebay... you get what you deserve.......

This car is funny.. did you catch the 160mph speedo in the pic? nice option!:bash

I wouldn't buy a dead cat on ebay.
I wouldn't buy a dead cat from anyone ;shrug Who has use for a dead cat?...unless it was being served as food. :D

Isn't that actually the aftermarket 140mph speedo?? I thought the '79 still had the 160 speedo as the stock?

And when I thought about it...all he says is that it's a "well known Houston medical center". Yeah, well a medical center could also be well known because it routinely has malpractice lawsuits filed against it! :L
I believe there was a well known political party in Germany during the early 1940's too... :crazy

The sale of that car alone makes me question their overall integrity.

YES- TELL HIM TO RAISE IT!!!!
:boogie

Just kidding. I'd be polite since he asked and tell him it is a wee bit high.

That's Dr.Kildare's wife's car. That's an absolute steal. I'm looking for my checkbook. When I find it I'm going to my mattress room for some therapy. LIKE THEY SEZ IN SOUTH PHILLY
'GET OUTTA HERE"

It isn't a bad looking Corvette. I don't know about that factory high rise ..

but, I'm not an expert on 79 Corvettes.

The seller does have 2 negatives from last month from people who were apparantly duped by the seller.

I always wondered what a C3 would look like with C2 side pipes. It's not as awkward as I imagined. The verbiage creatively never commits to factory stock. I really dislike when sellers do that non commitive stuff.

I'd like to know where that L-82 is...

looks like the underside of the high rise hood. I wouldn't go near it because of the sellers feedback and that disclaimer... he could get away with saying it only has 6 original miles.

It'll never sell

The L82 emblem is on the radiator core support. The arch below it is the fan shroud.

Seems kinda.... well, dumb. Just my opinion though. If Mr. Sellerguy was honest ad called it a spade- then it might sell. The deceptive language is intentional and seems to discredit all on Ebay and the internet.

how can you discredit a used car sale where the buyer doesnt go inspect the vehicle? That is already discredited enough.

this isn't barrett jackson with a creditable third party inspecting the car!

:chuckle
