I have 1 64 327, 300hp which is totally stock. It has the dual trumpet air cleaner and stock carb. I was wondering if I switched to a holley and a 360 degree open air cleaner if I would pick up a little more HP. Any ideas?;shrug:beer

Don,

My 327/300 responded really well to an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and carburetor. My stock Holley was terrible. Another modification that woke it up and did not require any permanent change was the addition of an HEI distributor w/tach drive. You can build yourself a small "y" harness that extends the pink wire at the ignition to the HEI with the other part of the "y" continuing the pink wire circuit so that you get a full 12 volts during start-up and while running. MAD Electrical has a kit and explains it. Check out Catalog .
