I'm looking for a 93 40th convertable. Is there anything to watch for in 1993 Corvettes?

Nothing you would not look for in any other C4 Corvette. LT1 intake manifold leaks (oil) are common, easy to fix, however. They leak out the front and back of the manifold. Examine water pump for leakage, Opti-Spark...duh. In the mean time enjoy these non-convertible 40th Pics... I highly recommmend Chrome Sawblades....

Thanks for the reply! How's a water pump to do on one of these cars?

....challenging, but survivable.

minimal blood loss, no more than 3 knuckles beat up. More of a pain in the back than anything else. I've found that you will suffer less that evening and next day if you roll the car on ramps or jack it up just to elevate it a few inches.
You will have to bend over at the dealership parts counter, no reason to have to do so in your own garage.

Well lets see if I can find a good car. My 69 Camaro is for sale and I'd like to sell it first before I bought the Vette. Garage space is at a priemium. If I find a Vette first that's nice I guess my pick-up will have to live outside for a while.

I just did my WP purchasewd at napa rather than dealer my cost $200 be carful with the coil wire i parrtialy broke the wire holder that is part of the distributor cap but mmanaged to put it onm also found the small hose I think vacume was broken or had been leaking and engine would not start but now runs fine i also lost the screw from the thermostat bleed and cant find a new one yet. There has been a little over heating but seem to have cleared itself up now

Hi Joseph,

I see you're from Massachusetts...where? I also live in MA (Weymouth, 15 miles south of Boston), and I sell Corvettes at Corvette Mike's in Plymouth. I might be able to help you find a '93 convertible. Let me know what you're looking for...transmission/color/options, etc.

Please feel free to contact me at any time.
