Anybody know if a 1990 427hp tall deck engine would fit in a 1966 corvette without any alterations to the 1967 big block hood? My plan is to use headers and fit them to the original side pipes. The motor now has spacer plates on the heads to use a standard manifold with a holley carb. Would there be any other problems. Or should I forget the idea. A shop told me he was 90% sure it would not fit , then the owner of the engine said his buddy has the same engine in his midyear, but I don't know what he did to get it to fit. So now I guess I'll take out the tape measure.
