4L60E autotrans economy mode vs. power mode?

Anyone know the differences that account for economy mode and power mode in the ECM/PCM for the 4L60E trans? Pretty sure economy mode is set by the computer based on TPS% input and has to do with keeping the tc locked up to save fuel.
