Well, they didn't sell, obviously. I was a little suprised, because I thought they were worth what I was trying to get out of them. I wanted to get @ $400 for them. If anyone is interested, feel free to drop me an e-mail.

A couple of reasons why they probably didn't get much of a play for you:

The '57 and later Corvette 5" rims were welded (with few rare exceptions); judges look for the welded wheels, and rivets only on the 5-1/2" RPO wheels.

The tires, although in nice shape, are far too old to drive on, and would get a minimum 60% point deduction for being the wrong size and construction.

'55-'56 shoebox Chevy guys might be interested in the wheels (they went to 14" in 1957).

Yeah, you might be right about the '55 - 6 Chevy guys maybe wanting them more. They were just on our Corvette for so long that that's what I think of. They were always good for that. You never know. I was hoping they would make good spares for someone. I don't think I'm way out of line for the wheels and tires.

If no one wants them, I'll just keep them around. They look good in my garage, and if I take them to a swap meet someone might fall in love with them. No biggie. It's getting kind of late to pick up a little Christmas cash anyway. :crazy
