61 hardtop

Is a 1958-60 hardtop the same as what goes on a 1961-62 ? Looks similar . please advise a novice. thanks, Harland

They're different. The 61/62 top has a 'crease' in the frame below the back window to accommodate the body line in the middle of the trunk and deck lid. I'm also pretty sure the mounting points are different.

Rear deck curve is different so you will have a big gap with a 56-60 top on a 61-62. I have seen earlier tops on a 61/62 but the gaps are huge and you need to modify the attaching points. Fits nice at the windshield. Good to get any hardtop at the right price as you can then make a trade for the right top.
