Hello, all,

Just installed my rear crossmember and third member on my 63 convertible last night. When looking at the mounted assembly from the rear, the right edge of the crossmember hangs about 1/4 inch lower than the left edge does from the frame. The cushions and crossmember are in very good condition. Should I be concerned, or will this be a non-issue once everything is assembled and pre-loaded?

As always, thanks in advance.

The diff mounting crossmember "lives" under compression, pushed up toward the frame by the weight of the back half of the car; the "sombrero" cushions don't come into play until the car is on wheels. They aren't designed to work with the weight of the diff, spring, etc. pulling down on them.
