I was mocking up the Dewitt's Rad in my 65 Rat wagon.
I find that I have to trim down the top hold down brackets by around 3/8" to make them go down without interfearing with part of the rad shape.
I must also state here that this is a Custom dual fan rad like the one that's in your 67. It is mounted in a Dewitts Reproduction 66 BB rad Support.
Now here's the real kicker...It looks like I have to trim the driver side electric fan shroud as it hits the upper "A" arm forward bushing bolt. I have to trim it enough so that you can get a wrench on it.
I can't get the rad to move over far enough to set correctly in the lower bracket. Looks like I have to move it around 1/2 " and then leave enough room to get in their to tighten up the "A" arm bolt at alignment time.
Disclaimer
Now ..for all you Dewitts Fans....I'm not dumping on Tom Dewitt here.....anytime you build sometong that is not original you will always run into fitment problems. The quality of the Rad and Support are not in question.
But Murrphys Law Always applies to The Midyear Corvette.
Did your Dewitts fit ok In the 67HEAVEN or did you have to trim and cut..?
