I am looking for a 70 convertible LT1. I know its a rare bird but there has to be one or two out there

Here's some.

These two are priced somewhat higher than ones I've seen go through auctions this year but they may be worth it. Plus you have to add in the 10% buyers premium to the bid price. A nice driver should be in the upper 40s to low 50s. Some have sold lower but I didn't see them first hand either. Also don't overlook the 71/72. Road tests in the day showed practically no difference in performance in the 3 years and the 71/72 can use available pump gas. Also 72s are out there with factory A/C.
