73 gas tank help ?

hi,comming from tank
a friend has 73 350/auto we going change gas tank
and found 3 connections at the tank,,seems one is fuel ,,one is vent ,,where would the other connect at engine ?
not sure whether its return line or what it is ?

Not 100% sure about this, but I believe terminating at the top of the cap, there should be:

Fuel line
Vapor line
Sending unit

...terminatining on the flange of the cap should just be the ground wire.

One is fuel out, one is the vapor return line, and the other is the vent line to the charcoal canister.

thanks for quick response,,now what does the vapor return line connect to ?
i guess that what i sould have asked ?

the charcoal cannister . . which I think is behind the fender vents in the engine compartment . .

hey - -nobody said it was logical !

It runs from the top of the drivers side of the tank forward to the vapor canister below the windshield washer bottle on the drivers side of the engine compartment.
