76 Front Valance

I recently replaced my front bumper. I'm going to reinstall the front valance and I was wondering if anyone knew if the bolts should be left natural or painted.

The NCRS judging manual states that the valance was painted separately from the body so it would be safe to assume the bolts are unpainted.

I'm restoring a relatively unmolested 75 convertible and mine were unpainted.
