76 steering wheel

What is the deal on 76 steering wheels? Can't get any other steering wheel from another year to fit? Any answers out there?

So what is it that's not fitting???,
Holes not lining up, wheel to big??
Is the wheel your trying to fit is not GM??

It's the Vega steering wheel that Chevrolet saw fit to use on the non-tilt columns '76's. As far as I know, the T&T column used a regular steering wheel. Chevrolet went to a different column on the '77 Corvette. If you have the Vega steering wheel type, you could always change it out for a earlier model column.

I have a t&t column but every catalog I look at says all except 76, Is there a way to adapt an earlier steering wheel. I just don't care for the Vega wheel.

There is a way to modify the column to accept other wheels. It has been discussed, posted and explained many times, I'm just not sure which of Vette forums has it? Don't give up, it can be done w/o replacing the column.
