On a 1977 Vette I recently purchased I have found the return line from the gas tank to be capped off where it ends attached to the frame near the fuel pump. Can anyone tell me what I am missing and where I can buy what I need to take care of this issue? I believe it should terminate in a vapor canister but not sure. Thanks

If its ending near the fuel pump then it will be the return from the pump.
I'm guessing since its capped off that you only have a two port pump rather than the correct three port pump. (this helps to prevent vapor lock)
You'll need to get a new three port pump and the correct premolded lines (others tend to kink) for connecting it.
CAC sponsor Zip products should have what you need.:thumb

A return line is even more important with this ethanol gas we are forced to use now. You can get a stock AC Delco pump from your local parts store.

Thank you

Thank you all for your reply to my question. Looks like the seal on the fuel pump should be replaced, so it's a good time to replace the pump with a 3 port.
Thanks
