77 Ground Wires

Does anyone know where the ground wires are located on a 1977 with a 350 engine. The dash lights when turned on will activate the buzzer warning light, as well as giving a false reading on the temperature guage.

When I turn to dash lights all the way down via the dimmer switch. Leaving the headlights and rear lights on , everything returns to normal so I'm assumimg the system is looking for a ground and turning on different units in it's search.

I'm not sure about the 77' but usually there is several ground wire attached to the back of the instrument panel, these wires end up close to the starter motor.

The instrument panel and lights ground to the frame on the left hinge pillar above the courtesy light.
