78 original engine for sell

Not looking to get much out of this at all, just looking for some small offers from anyone that is interested or in need. Dont want to part it out either.


I am planning on dropping in this 383 stroker that will be done in a couple of weeks but am pulling the original engine this weekend or next at the latest.
It is a 100 percent engine...as in parts there. Close to 100k miles on it

still running but not well
complete block with everything attached
wiring
dis
balancer
fly wheel
intake
air filter
carb
alt
spark plugs
water pump
oil pump
feul pump
exhaust pipes and mufflers(all the way back)
A/C unit (never used, belt never on)
pullies and belts
starter
4 core radiator (but has small hole)

No mods, just a stock engine out of a 78 vette. I am not worried about matching numbers so if someone else is, this may work

Just about everything under the hood that I can think of except brake related items and power steering

I am sure it will need a rebuild but it is not blowing any smoke out the back. Does make some noise like one of the bearings is loose. The heads seem good, hear no strange noise. Carb will need to be tuned...sucks gas down like crazy.
I use it as a daily driver but do not take it on trips any more due to the radiator leak.

Call and can hear it run 785-313-7441 I work 8-5 m-f. Call any time after 5 till when ever....I live alone so I stay up late.

I can strap it to a pallet and drive it to any dock with in reason to help on shipping
