'79 electrical problems

I hope someone will be able to help, I have a four-fold electrical problem with my ‘79. First, I have a slow drain on the battery. Over 5 days to a week of not running it will drain completely, though if run regularly the system operates and charges well. Second, the “GEN” light is on and has been so since I purchased it. Third, a couple of weeks ago the amp meter which was working suddenly quit. Fourth, and most perplexing, the tachometer suddenly reversed. It now runs counter-clockwise, 7,000 at rest then up to? 4000 to 3500 while operating. If anyone has any ideas where to start I would appreciate it, Thank you.

Have you tested the alternator?

I agree sounds like a bad alternator also check all of the grounds
