I'm a new member with several project corvettes and anticipate you all will be a great source of information. I look forward to participating with you all, and based on reading site content and threads feel that this is one great group of contacts. Courteous, thoughtful, experienced, problem solvers all - what luck!
I have an early 79 Vette originally equipped with a fixed antenna. I'm installing a power antenna and noted in my 78 and 79 assembly manuals that the unit is either mounted to 2 riveted plates located at the top and bottom of the left rear splash panel (78), or a boss moulded into the bottom left rear splash panel (79). I have located both types of splash panels, but don't know which would be correct/best for my car. Ideas?
