Seems that my 81 clutch pedal disconnects from the clutch rod in the drivers compartment. I've lost the pedal several times now.

GM does not make the clip anymore that connects them. A cotter key is too soft and tends to shear.

Recommendations?

Jon

Try corvette central thats where I got mine. We use to call them J.C. clips

I recently replaced my clutch pedal, I got the correct clips at loews

At Loews? Was it in the clip, cotter key- fastner section? Not sure what they should look like. Can you descrivbe it?

Art,
thanks for the update. I did contact Corvette Central (didn't know about them... there are so many parts houses) and ordered another set of the pins. Thanks Can't tell you how often people stop to watch my 81 drive by. Still think it's one of the best looking body styles.

Enjoy the summer

i found the bag the clips came in - [ yes in the cotter pin section].

Great. I'e got another source for this clip. Wish I knew these thingsearlier. I also found clutch pedal "G clips" from Classic

Happy driving!
Jon

Are the clips that you got from Lowe's just for use on the top of the pedal? and not for the linkage?
thanks
