'82 - rough idle / hard steering

If I remember correctly, mine were around $65.00 a piece at Parts Plus.

I have the same problem with an 82.

I just want to make sure I understand that this problem was misfire at idle when during warm-up. Correct?

The solution was to replace the IACs?

I'm not disputing the solution but it is interesting that the IAC problem didn't cause misfire, cold or warm. Did the service facility offer any insight as to why that was?

The problem was a low cold idle and the warm idle could have been a little off.
I got a little "back talk" from letting off the gas that stopped once the IAC's were replaced. I took the car the Ron's Restorations here in MA and the IAC's were about $100 each. I didn't ask a bunch of questions since I was happy witht he result. However, since Big Tex bought and drive the car 1700 miles home to OK, he states the idle has become a problem again problem.

I am going to replace the throttle position sensor this weekend to see if that might be at least part of the problem. It acts almost like there is a vacuum leak and acts like it is going to stall out while it is stopped in gear. The rpm's are not constant. BTW - we noticed the problem while we were in Carlisle the night we left your house.
