:bashi bought an 84 vette with a rebuilt motor. at present it has approx. 5k on it. the idle is very rough and erratic and if i am lucky, it gets 15 mpg. f/p is 14psi, fuel pump is new, timing is set at 6 degrees btdc. idle is anywhere from 8-1500 rpm. tps set at .524, new iac motors, new egr, new map sensor, new cts,cap, rotor, plugs,wires, t/b gaskets new. only mod from ppwk - pistons are .20 over. one thing i have noticed, when i check the timing, disconnecting the est wire, there are no changes, also,
there is vaccuum at the egr valve at idle. what am i missing? need help to straighten this out....
