I am the new owner of my first Corvette, a 1984 C4, which I purchased in need of some repairs. I'm having a problem with the windshield wipers functioning properly. They turn on okay but won't turn back off unless you turn the key completely to the "off" position. They also won't go into delay mode only low & high speeds. My local Corvette parts supplier suggested the problem was in the switch in the door. I changed the switch and still have the same problem.

Any suggestions???

Thanks in advance

Most likely its a defective cover board...its located on top of the WW motor.

Have you known your parts man long, that is, can you trust him? The switch sounds to me to be the problem as well. I'd go with your parts guy and replace the switch.

But then, Jon may be right. Jon, how would you check the cover board for shorts? :confused

Seeing as he already changed the switch and has the same problem...The board is the only other part it could be...Only thing left is the motor...and that works. The switch can be checked...but the board needs is electronic and needs special tools/meters to check...cheaper to just change it.

I have that same problem!!! Haven't really looked to fix it yet ,since I live in San Diego and not much rain here. :). I'm going to change the switch as well and see what happens.
