My vette goes down the road fine. When i let off the gas the car shifts as if a wheel is relocating. I have pulled out the strut rods and bars. No significant looseness or damage. I have ordered new bushings today , but fear its not gonna go away. Is this normal for this type of suspension? Or am i missing something.

Check the following

So emergency brake off.....

Jack the offending( suspect ) wheel in the air. ( In your case get both sides up )

Grab the tire @ 12:00 & 6:00 o'clock

Pull your top hand TWDS you

Use you bottom hand to push the tire AWAY.

Now rock the tire back & forth...

Were checking the FREE PLAY/WEAR in the wheel bearings.

(Good idea to do this on all 4 wheels)

If the tire moved MORE than 1/4 of an inch... things are getting bad..

If it moved 1/2 of an inch ( OR GREATER )

Park the car...
If your unsure how it should "feel" do a front tire... they are typically better as far as bearing slop goes.

Typically the right rear is the first to go!

Vig!

Mine did the same thing....Vig told me to look at the rear half shaft...I found it was very loose and none of the u-joints had any needle bearings left. Once I replaced the u-joints all was well....
