Now that is a rather ANNOYING problem to have! LOL!! :mad The right side is just
fine! The left Mirror Housing itself is Tight and not a problem.

Now are there any kind of "SURPRIZE'S/Tip's" in pulling the Door Panel off to get
to the Mirror Assembly (Heated Mirror) or SPECIAL tool's/Item's needed to get
the job done RIGHT....the 1st Time!??? Haven't been INSIDE a Vette's door
panel at all,as I work on Police Car Crown Vic's ALL DAY for the past 14 year's!
I'm a Journeyman Mechanic,so I should have available most of the needed tool's....This is however my 1st Vette, and at 65,000 mile's it's in pretty "Good"
shape, just the MINOR Annoyance's now and then to deal with like the mirror!!

Any Advise/Help would be appreciated!

If it is just the mirror itself and not the housing, gently pull on the mirror applying steady pressure to remove it from the housing, then you will see the screws holding the motor which is whats actually loose. Re-install it by pushing it back on firmly but gently.

Trunion

There is something called a trunion, it is a cross with a pivot hole in the center, that attaches to the rear of the actual mirror. This could be worn or like mine the inner heated mirror was busted. When you get it apart you will see what I mean, its like a two ply mirror. I'm sure I'll hate myself for this later but I cleaned all the broken glass from the inner mirror and re attached the works to the outer mirror with a thin coat of 5200. I don't think I use the heated mirrors much, but it hasn't cracked or wobbled since, just over 2 yrs. and still have full adjustment.

Like Vette Newb said, I just pulled mine out from the housing .....gently .... never even went in the door panel.

"Thank's"!! VetteNewb & Hrtbeat1, for the info!! Very Much Appreciated, and as you Both mentioned...I'll, TRY to be "GENTLE"!! Which mean's I'll probably BUST the Damn thing on the 1st Try!! ;LOL

Vettenewb...I, LIKE what ya did under the Hood! Sure did "Brighten" thing's
up a Bit!! Without going Too Far...OVERBOARD!! The wheel's are VERY Kool!!
I'll keep that style in mind!! As I never could stand the "O.E" wheel's style,
at all !! I've, had to DELAY any Major "Mod's/New Stuff" for awhile because
my daughter, Needed a car for college (Out of State) and Mom/I,just didn't
want to chance a "USED" car for her, Sooooo, that New '04 Chev Cavalier
LS Sport, kinda put a "Severe" DENT!! in my "Play $$$$" !! for THIS Year!! :L

But future plan's call for Wheel's,Header's,all the "SMOG LEGAL" engine mod's
I can throw at it short of going INSIDE the motor,as it's still realively LOW in
mile's at 65,000 miles, and keep the "Calif Smog Cop's" HAPPY!! LOL Gonna
have the seat's redone as they are showing some "Age" and while they are
out, some new Carpet's, just becuz'.

Again, thank's for the Tip on the Mirror Guy's!
