anybody know where to get valve emblem?
They are discontinued, but they appear on Ebay from time to time.

Also, Zip is selling what they call an 86-90 Valve Cover Emblem. They do not show a picture of it It sells for $35. Go to Zip's website, its item # M-3221.

The original ones are selling for gold.
I sold a set of 86 valve covers 2 mths ago with the emblem in perferct shape for $10.00,the buyer sent me $25.00 bucks and I thought he was being nice, but he new what he had.

Ebay had one at auction a couple of days ago. One guy wanted something like $150 for one. If you're feeling adventurous, what you can do is re-paint your old one. That's what I did on my '89 Ebay rat, and there is a technique I developed that worked really well (you mask off the emblem, itself, and spray the large silver area around it to avoid streaks, then use a brush on everything else). Did it come out perfectly? Absolutely not, but it looks pretty good, and I had an awful lot of fun doing it and everytime I open the hood and see it I feel a certain boyish pride and enthusiasm. I used Testor's paint, and the whole process reminded me of putting together models, etc. I used JB Weld to glue it back on. Really, have some fun with the car and don't worry about all that "matching this or that" and "investment" crud. Those people take all the fun out of everything because money enters and spoils things.

"Buy It Now" has been around for awhile on eBay, I have used it in the past. Basically, it is a way to avoid being outbid. If you want it at that price, you buy it and don't have to wait for the auction to end.

I saw the reference to Eckler's, and called them, as I remember this being a discontinued part. Apparently, it's so new that much of Eckler's own internal documentation hasn't been updated. The guy said it's not GM, but a reproduction. He agreed that it would probably be a big seller, as lots of people have asked about it over the years. Get the word out! No more tyranny of scalpers!! Eckler's wants $44 for it.

Apparently, someone has started to manufacture and sell these VC emblems, since this thread was started :upthumbs
