I just finished putting a heater core in my 88 coupe and I noticed that I can increase the temp setting but the decrease button doesn't decrease the setting. In the process of finding this out I stupidly kept increasing the temp all the way up to the max of 90 which is where it is right now. My question is simple. Am I going to have to buy a new control unit or can something be done. Thanks for any help. Its cold here now but it won't stay that way.

Best regards,
Gerry

Dear C5D,

Thanks for the info, I got the reset to 75 degrees but still the decrease button won't work. Any further suggestions will be much appreciated. Again thanks a lot for the help.

Best regards,
Gerry

OK, I'll pull the unit out and clean all the contact points behind the buttons. I tried shooting contact cleaner in behind the button already but that didn't work (didn't really think it would). I will let you know how I make out. Thanks for all the help. Happy and Healthy New Year to you.

Best regards,
Gerry
