My 88 Vette starts immediately when cold but not when hot !
After running, if the car is left for under (5) minutes it will start OK, If left longer than (5) minutes it takes about 10-15 seconds of cranking before it will start.

Anyone got any suggestions?

it sounds like an injector or injectors are leaking after the engine is shut off
causing the combustion chamber to fill with gas causing a flooding condtion
making it harder to start when warm.

My 88 has done the exact same thing since I bought it. I'm curious to see the responses...

Check out ebay for five o motorsports. I bought 8 new bosch ford 21# injectors for less than $200 delivered. Their pink, so i painted mine black:L

I bought Accel replacement Injectors and installed them last summer.
The problem is gone !

Congrats to you for correcting your issue!

I had the same problem WTS had. I went with The Bosch III's from FIC and the 88 runs/starts, hot or cold like it should.
Hi all, my '88 has the same symptoms, plus an engine miss problem I've temporarily "fixed" by blocking off the EGR. Could this be the answer ? See my thread , "why the miss". 10-19-09. Thanks for any help. Roger. :confused :w
