'89 code question - code 36
So here's how the drama unfolds.......
Recently had some tranny issues (Automatic) and wound up having to have it rebuilt. On the way to the trans. shop The check engine light came on, I figured it was the system telling me I was a dope for driving it after it started showing signs of issues. After picking it up w/a freshly rebuilt transmission it was still there, so I tried clearing it. It disappeared for 30 seconds and re-illuminated!!! Jumped the connectors and it spat out a code 36. My book tells me it's a "Ignition system circuit error or transaxle shift problem - 4T60E Transaxle". As I am not a GM mechanic, this is like explaining to my dog how to set the VCR timer....... not gonna happen. Can anyone shed a little light on what plagues my baby? Thank you much in advance!!
