My pride and joy recently developed a check engine light that I would like to get addressed. Does anyone know of a quality Corvette service garage that they can recommend in the Milwaukee, Wisonsin area?

I will print out the codes but I would really like to have someone fix this issue as well as do some other prevenative things I have put off. So I am hoping to find a gargae that knows C4 Corvettes and does things likes brakes, engine, etc. I do not need body work, just mechanicals.

Thanks so much!

Radar-- Call Classic Motors 630-357-5170 He is in Naperville Ill. I know it's a long way from Milwaukee, but it is worth it. His name is Bob Zimmerman, he has worked on Corvettes for 35 years, and NO ONE else has worked on mine! He is VERY knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy! Tell him Jake sent you.

Thanks for that information.

Yes, that is a very long drive for me. I wonder how I could make that work - if I have to leave the car as it is over 130 miles to drive. If I can figure that out and if it is okay to drive the Corvette that distance with the light on, I might be able to that with him.

I good recommendation is very important and I thank you for that. I sure do not want some "Bubba" working his magic on my baby.

Thanks for the help!

best thing to do is go to a orielleys and ask them to read it for you that will give you an idea of what to start looking for,at least you'll have an idea what you'll be looking for. a good manuel will help to even if you dont do your own work.so many out there will take you to the bank best bet is to get incontact with your local vette owners club and i'll bet some body can turn you on to a mech. that you can trust chances are it's probly a o2 senser code you can tell mostley by the car will run rich and not run real good. put 2 on my 88 before i got one that would work, both o2 senser was AC delco anyway my two cents for what it's worth. the more you know about the little problems that pop up the better off you'll be [remember better to have and not need than to need and not have ] quote by gunny sarg. floyd cramer xaun loc south vietnam may 12 1972 have a good day!!

on my 1988 corvette i had a check engine light that was title the burn out sensor relay, a 10 dollar relay at autozone, dont go to the dealer and drop 30 dollars on the same relay. it's located on the firewall. my friend has a 86 vette and had the same deal, hope this helps a little
