trying to get the seat coushion back out of the frame. i have no problem getting the bottoms out but can not get the backs out what am i not doing right.heeeeeelp.

From my service manual:

Base seats:
1. Locate seatback cushion retainer clips by carefully pushing away seat trim.
2. Cut all hog rings and remove cover.
3. To install cushion, reverse removal procedures.

By "seat trim" above, I believe they mean the frame around the edge of the seatback cushion.

Sport seats:
1. Remove seat cushion
2. Disconnect seatback cushion upper retaining clips (2)
3. Remove seatback cover to bolster cover (both sides) and retaining rings (hog rings) across bottom of seatback
4. Remove bolster cover to panel staples.

Hope this helps. Haven't tried removing the components of the seats, but have just removed the whole thing from the car on occasion.

There are two vertically-oriented metal bars embedded into the seatback cushions, and these metal bars are pressure-forced against built-in clips inside the seatback housing. Take a long flathead screwdriver and GENTLY push against one of the metal bars until it pops out, then the other metal bar will come out too.

out comes the seat

man you are the best easy as 123 thank you very much for your quick reply
