Hi Donne,
I just did this repair myself yesterday and vetteoz is right about the swearing. I had to send the family to the movies so that I could express my frustration freely. If you can drop the clutch slave cylinder, you can make the switch without much trouble. I could not because I couldn't get a socket around the slave nuts - no clearance. The original switch had the plug integrated, but the only replacements available now have a long pigtail. the pigtail is what makes it difficult. When you are trying to start the thread, the pigtail doesn't turn freely and gets tangled in the everything else. After an hour, I finally got it started.
A lift would have made it easier. Be sure to use some permetex on the threads. a 7/8" offset is a must, but I've heard that an oxygen sensor socket works too.
