My friends has a 1994 Corvette with a modified LT1 and a pro-charger model P-1SC.
The car runs great above 2500 RPMs. If your cruising and accelerate it pops or at an idle and blip the gas pedal it pops and will stall.
My questions are, what type of throttle body are you using and has anybody ran into this situation?

I'll bet that's a calibration problem and not a throttle body problem.

The usual first question is did the problem start recently or has it been that way since the blower was installed??

With 94 to 96 C4s, the PCM must be be reflashed or as Hib stated calibrated.

This "white paper" will give you an idea of what is needed.

I have no clue where you buy a basic or starter "tune." A starter tune will add a lot of power. It will not add all the power the blower is capable of making.. I'd contact shops who install blowers. If your friend bought a complete kit, I'd contact whoever sold it and ask them for a starter tune chip..

As inferred by the two other posters, have the problem properly diagnosed by someone who is intimately familiar with your set up. With a modified engine and a supercharger you have a potential for endless problems if not properly diagnosed. Do not just throw parts at it, you have a lot of variables at work here and you could make it much worse by shot gunning replacement parts.

I am not 100% positive but I think this problem has persisted since the supercharger has been installed. If anybody knows a good tune it in the Southern California area please let me know. It wouldn't hurt to get the car recalibrated.
Again all info would be helpful so please post if you come up with any ideas.

For DIY'ers, companies who sell kits offer a basic tune or calibration. It is a safe calibration that adds RWHP but not as much HP as a chassis dyno can...

I'd start by contacting whoever installed the blower and see where it goes. If, they can't help or it was a DIY install, then contact whoever sold the kit.. Once he has the tune, he'll need a means of installing it or flashing the chip.

As a blower or turbo with an incorrect tune can destroy an engine, I would not procrastinate getting this right.

Personally, I'd find a dyno shop who tunes forced induction.. A forced induction tune costs more than naturally aspirated.

Any competent shop with a dyno and software (

I recommend Westech in Mira Loma...east on the 60, out near Ontario Airport. I use them for all my chassis dyno work and, while I've never had them do calibration work, I know they do it and I know they are good at it.

Call them and ask for Steve. Tell him, I suggested you call.

The downside?

Good cal work isn't cheap.

You can contact Pro Charger technical support at (913) 338-2886. You will need the serial number off of the supercharger.
