In regards to my 95, how many vacuum check valves is there in the line between the manifold (just above 6-8 cyl) and the accumulator below the driver headlight??? I've replaced the one right next to the manifold but still have the problem of the air stopping to come out of the dash vents when ever I'm going up a hill. When I drive on level ground, everything's fine.
Anyone else having this kind of problem

Is this the little elbow hose that comes off the PCV valve? Every time I had this problem in my 96 it was a crack in that little hose...

I have a diagram of the cruise control I can send you. I can only find one check valve, but I could be missing something.
Sounds like you have a problem with the reserve tank which shud supply vacuum
during acceleration , etc. Need your e-mail address. In the mean-time I'll keep lookin.

I don't believe so. Everyone seems to point to the vacuum lines coming off the intake manifold just above cyl 4-6.

Look at that little hose, because I had that problem twice with my 96, and twice it ended up being this thing. It's a dealer item, but only about $6. It is natural for it to disintegrate.

Check what the other guys are saying first, because I'm sure they know a lot more than I do. But if that doesn't solve your problem, check this hose - it will only take a minute and fix your problem for under $10!

Vac 'Leak'

Yes, be sure to check the hoses and also assure the check valve is OK. I've had two bad vacuum reservoirs, both had really small cracks part way around the nipple where the hose attaches to the reservoir. Found the problem by pulling a vacuum on the system (after the check valve) and pinching off hoses until one pinch caused the vacuum to hold. Holding versus not holding a vacuum was somewhat subtle but pulling a vacuum and watching for 30 seconds or a minute revealed the culprit.
The reservoirs are >$35 depending on the model. Silicone seal will repair them reliably.
Good luck
