96 CE wipers will not turn off

Turned on the wipers yesterday ( and yes we have to use out wipers even here in Phoenix sometimes :L), then they wouldn't shut off had to turn off and on the engine then they would shut off. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

I suspect you have either a short in the wiring somewhere or a failed multifunction switch in the steering column.

You need the Factory Service Manual for its wiring diagram for the wiper/washer system and you need it for the instructions on how to replace the switch if diagnosis points at the switch as the problem.

As for tools, you may need a DMM and, you may need some special tools to partially disassemble the steering column if the multifunction switch needs to be replaced.

OK so according to the FSM I have a "Faulty Park Switch" anybody have a part number. Checking on Amazon I get a whole slew of relays/switches so not sure which is right one
