I like the thin, 5 spoke, chrome, as per my 99 coupe. But Eric's Wagon Wheel make over kit is a good idea until you can make a decision.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I have been in contact with Remo's agent (Guy), and we have reached an agreement for me to buy Remo's thin 5-spoke polished alumnium wheels when he steps up to some black ones in the spring time :cool.

Congrats Tammy, I knew you would not last long without a Corvette. I love the magnesium wheels on my car, but I don't think the color would look as good on a pewter vette.

I really like the BBS wheels at the Tire Rack

Pricey but I have seen these wheels up close & I think they are sharp!!

Good luck with the new vette. No matter what you do, remember you are the only one you have to please.

Hi Tammy, :w
Congrats and welcome back to the fold!!
The thin spokes are a great choice and the OEM wheels are the lightest wheel made for the C5.

This is what I fell in love with from The Tire Rack:
SSR GT3 wheels 19X11 Rear and 18 X 9.5 front.

Best regards,
Pedro

Now this is Really Dirty Pool! Aren't you the one who counceled me to keep my stock wheels? Yeah I know they are thin spoke!

After spending several hours "Up Close And Personal" with the wide spokes on yours, I can tell you that they really are pretty impressive ~ particularily the rims and inner wheels.

Now, after I went through all the anxiety of Z06 style ~ chrome or black with chrome outer rims, I had the opportunity to see Tripleblack51's a couple of weeks ago. OMG! I cannot even begin to describe how cool they are!

But here is something to consider what you see there is an over sized wheel, brake disc and brake caliper.

If I ONLY had the $$$, but Hey, the numbers are drawn later tonight and on Sat. Maybe......;LOL

Hi Tom,:w

Thank you for the kind words. Your green beauty was looking very nice too!
It was nice to see you and meet your better half at Venice.
Tony and his lady are really nice too.

I don't recall giving you counsel on thin spokes, but what can I say except,
"Hello, I' m Pedro, I have a problem" :L

Works everytime....

Best regards,
Pedro

When did they start making "mustard yellow" vettes?

SAVE THE :w

"Hello, I' m Pedro, I have a problem" :L
HEY! I thought I sent you a note of thanks and glad you guys made it over! Man! If I didn't I owe you an applogy!

About that quote....there is some behind the scenes work in progress...more to follow! ;)

And it was that skunk Tammy that told me to keep the stock wheels! ;LOL

Dwayne - I Didin't Have Anything To Do With This

Those wheels look great on that Black Vette, but they sure look funny on that Reggie Jackson Mustard Yellow one. ;LOL

OMG - what a shot at those Millenium Yellow cars. And this time it wasn't from me. Hey Dwayne - did you notice that Tammy (a former MY owner) is switching to a silver car? And to top it off - her car will be wearing new wheels this spring that came from your old nemesis - "Quicksilver".

Remo:cool

Sic 'im Remo! ;worship

I was wondering when Remo would bring this fact up. I doubt I'll ever live it down ;)

Hey Tom, actually, what I'm getting will be "stock"... they're original OEM upgrades, just not for a 99. (I don't think ...?)

;)

The next one will be Red, the real color for Corvettes ;)
This is very possible. It was the only color that Phil and I could agree on when we discussed the hypothetical "what if we win the lottery" subject :L

(of course, if *I* buy the winning ticket then all bets on red are off ;))

Awright, 'fess up MsSchroder! We know who REALLY went in halves with you on the new FRC! Wish I could find the photo from the NCM parking lot... of a certain young man... in a certain SILVER CORVETTE... with a certain CAC member who shall remain nameless (REMO)... WHO SAID THAT? HMMMMM?

That's who forked out the other half of the dough... and wanted SILVER! Bet y'all busted the piggy bank for this one. ;LOL
