A new member to the Forum and Corvette ownership. I retired this year and needed a project. Always wanted a Corvette, so now have a '79 and having fun. Finding lots of questions as I work to put my dream onto reality. Car is drivable but a project to restore. Looking forward from learning from other members.

Congrats on your retirement and welcome to the Corvette Action Center! :thumb

Welcome to the CAC

Welcome to the CAC and retirement. I highly recommend both. I've been so busy with my projects since I retired in early January that I wonder how I ever had time to go to work. Have fun with the '79. My advice on the restoration is to try to do as much of it while keeping it drivable as possible. If you have to do projects on it that render it inoperative for a time, do them one at a time and get it back on the road before you start the next one. Many restoration projects have died when the owner tried to do too much at once and just never got it back together.
