That operation is covered in great detail in the ST-12 Manual ("1953-'62 Corvette Servicing Guide"), which is the only shop manual ever published for the C1 Corvettes; all of the usual Corvette parts vendors have it, plus the NCRS on-line store at http://www.ncrs.org/ | National Corvette Restorers Society.
