A/C auto..off lights

Just bought this 95-LT1. Checked out almost every thing. Today was a little warmer, so I was to start the AC, HERE is the question: the light above both the OFF and the AUTO do NOT come on, as if the system is not recognizing the switch. The outside air displays, the inside air displays, the fan works in manual and in auto. The vents work in all modes, and display temp when switched from one to another. The AC works, at the temp of 75, the air comes on.

The puzzler is the lights, and that I cannot change the TEMP setting, to lower or higher. Checked the book for fuse locations, they are OK.
