A C Only blows on Defrost mode

;squint: Guys need help. I have a 96 LT 4 and the AC only blows air on the windshield . My dash controls don't do anything. Some one said there is a check valve under the fuel rail cover, Any help as summer is coming.

Probably the nipples collapsed where the vacuum hoses connect to the AC controller. Common on the 96. This controls the vents.

Where is this located ??

Way up under the dash. Have to be a monkey to get to it. I hired this one out.
