I'm a little behind in my reading of "Automotive News" but the 9 Jan issue of AN carried a story about GM announcing an 8-speed automatic for the next generation of full-size trucks
As the four-speed auto was developed into a rear mounted version for the 1997 Vette in a project which was funded mainly by the truck folks at GM and the six-speed auto was developed into a rear mounted version for the 2006 Vette; might the coming 8-speed show up in a late 10s version of our car?
Could a C7 powertrain for late this decade be: 425-hp 5.5L with DI, VVT and AFM and a paddle-shifted 8-speed auto?:confused
Wadaya think?
